Safe Announces Topaz Acquisition
Following the announcement of the acquisition of Topaz computer Systems by Safe Computing both companies are looking forward to a successful future as a larger integrated group.
The combined business will have over two hundred customers; employ about 120 people and an annual turnover in excess of £10M. Safe and Topaz have been business partners for a number of years and have a large number of joint customers.
Geoff Griffiths the Managing Director at Topaz will be joining the Safe Computing Board.
When announcing the transaction, Sandy Scott, Managing Director of Safe, stated the groups long term commitment to the products of both companies and protecting the investment that customers had made in both the Safe and Topaz products. Added growth is expected from the integration of the Topaz financial products with Safe’s specialist solutions for the recruitment sector and greater penetration in the overall market for the Topaz products.
Geoff Griffiths, MD of Topaz said ”The integration of Topaz into the larger combined group will give us greater opportunity and financial stability and backing to expand the opportunities for our leading financial, credit control and HR/Payroll applications.”
Safe has recently announced its Software as a Service HR and Payroll offering and plans on extending this to include the Topaz products. Scott added ” We believe in the longer term many more organisations will be looking for an integrated “business out a box” service and we intend to be a leading provider of these solutions in our selected markets”
